Description
Product Description and Technical Data
The DT800 utilizes Airmars proven Tilted Element™ and broadband technologies in this thru-hull depth and temperature Smart™ Sensor. The DT800 is a low-profile, retractable, thru-hull sensor that computes accurate depth and temperature data and sends it to any NMEA 0183 or NMEA 2000® display or network. Airmars Smart™ Sensors have embedded microelectronics-the transducer element and signal processor are only millimeters apart. The signal from the depth transducer is processed right inside the sensor itself. All that is needed to receive depth and temperature data is a single cable into a compatible network or display.
The ceramic is tilted inside the housing, which compensates for hull deadrise and orients the transducer beam straight down, resulting in strong bottom echo returns and accurate depth readings. It is sold with a choice of rugged housings-plastic, bronze, or stainless steel-to accommodate any vessel type or hull material. These low-profile housings do not affect hull performance and will provide accurate readings at high speeds. The retractable housing with a self-closing valve reduces water flow into the vessel when the transducer is removed for cleaning.
Available in three Tilted Element™ models:
- Fixed 20° tilted version for 16° to 24° hull deadrise
- Fixed 12° tilted version for 8° to 15° hull deadrise
- Fixed 0° tilted version for 0° to 7° hull deadrise
Features:
- Depth and temperature
- 235 kHz frequency prevents mutual interference with other echosounders on the vessel
- Depth performance from 500 mm (1.6ft) to 183 m (600ft)
- Available in NMEA 0183 and NMEA 2000 versions
- Cable lengths up to 100 m (330ft) are possible with no loss of performance-NMEA 0183 only
- Plastic, bronze, or stainless steel housings available
- Retractable insert in plastic, bronze, or stainless steel housing with a water valve
- Available in low-profile, countersunk, or beveled-edge housings
